Cutting And Fabricating Steps Of Air Duct Panels
1. Material Preparation:
• Ensure the availability of polyurethane material that meets standard requirements.
• Gather necessary duct fittings, including elbows, tees, flanges, etc.
2. Measurement and Cutting:
• Measure and mark the required lengths of the ducts according to the design specifications using measuring tools.
• Cut the polyurethane material along the marked lines using appropriate tools.
3. Board Cutting:
• Utilize specialized cutting tools to ensure the aluminum foil layer is not damaged, and the cuts are straight.
4. Cleaning and Gluing:
• Clean the board surfaces thoroughly before gluing to remove any residue.
• Apply adhesive evenly on both surfaces of the foam that need to be bonded.
5. Bonding:
• Once the adhesive is dry, close the duct.
• Align the edges and press down on the corners with a hard scraper to ensure a flat bond, checking for vertical alignment on all sides.
6. Sealing:
• All cut edges of the outer aluminum layer must be sealed with pressure-sensitive tape to create a vapor barrier.

• Do not damage the reserved aluminum foil layer when cutting, and leave a lap joint of more than 35mm at the sealing end.
10. Duct Reinforcement:
• When reinforcing ducts with metal channel frames or corrugated channel frames, install internal supports and secure them to the reinforcement frame as a single unit.
